Before We Begin

Pet Photo Guide

The photos you share become the foundation of your portrait. Clear, natural references help us recreate the expression, colors, markings, and small details that make your pet unmistakably yours.

Start With a Clear Photo

Use the original image whenever possible. The face, eyes, ears, and coat texture should remain sharp when you zoom in.

  • Sharp focus
  • Original file
  • Pet fills the frame
  • No screenshots

02

Use Natural, Even Light

Daylight helps us understand true coat and eye colors. Avoid dark rooms, colored bulbs, strong shadows, and filters that change the appearance of your pet.

Photograph at Eye Level

A straight, front-facing view gives the most reliable proportions. Hold the camera near your pet’s eye level rather than pointing sharply up or down.

  • Face centered
  • Eyes visible
  • Ears in frame
  • Natural expression

Keep the Face Uncovered

Hands, toys, blankets, and other objects can hide the exact shapes we need. Choose a main photo where the complete face and both ears are clearly visible.

Show What Makes Them Unique

Include an extra close-up if your pet has different-colored eyes, unusual markings, a distinctive nose, a tongue spot, scars, or another feature you want us to preserve.

FULL-BODY PORTRAITS

Add Views From Every Side

For a full-body sculpture, send front, side, back, and three-quarter views. These references help us understand posture, proportions, tail shape, and markings that are not visible in the main photo.
